Company Background

1990.  George H.W. Bush was President.  The Dow hit 3000 for the first time.  Gas took a rollercoaster ride from around $1.15 to $1.55 per gallon and back again as the first Gulf War brewed.  Our living rooms filled with the antics of Roseanne and Seinfeld while Home Alone and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were box office hits.  Few of us knew what the Internet was or how the term “you’ve got mail” would redefine business communication.  Inflation and unemployment were both over 5% as the country muddled through a recession.

Into these headwinds, former college pals and 20-somethings Jon Klaus and Bruce Beaty formed VentureNet in the fall of 1990.  Shaking off observations that present economic conditions might not be the best for starting a business, Jon and Bruce committed to a vision of providing outstanding technical services to clients built on core values of integrity, “Golden Rule” treatment of others, plus-one service, tenacity and creativity.  And, along the way, to build a great place to work populated by excellent people.

Now, two decades later, VentureNet has matured into a full-scope IT managed services provider, offering outstanding IT support, bulletproof data protection and business continuity solutions, and telephony services for hundreds of businesses and organizations throughout North Texas and beyond.  We have done this by staying true to our original vision and core values, by assembling an outstanding group of technical professionals, and by offering unparalleled quality and priority service to our clients.

A lot has changed since 1990.  Seinfeld is in re-runs.  We wish for $1.15/gallon gas.  The Dow hit 14000 before looking like it might hit 3000 from the other direction.  Recessions have come and gone – and come again.  Most of us are now inextricably dependent on the Internet and email.  But through it all, VentureNet’s commitment to our clients has remained the same: to provide best-in-class technical services and to leverage technology that drives profitability for our clients and helps them be truly successful in their industries.
