Server Destruction Video Blasts Off
Dallas, TX November 24, 2009: keepgoing.biz, the data protection and business continuity service offered by 3-time Inc 5000 IT firm VentureNet, announced release of its Server Destruction video on YouTube November 17th, 2009. The video depicts the total destruction of a server by a SWAT t-shirt clad “firing line” sporting weapons ranging from machine guns to assault rifles and shotguns, following up the barrage with a Tannerite-based explosion to finish off the server.
By the end of the first week on YouTube, the keepgoing.biz server destruction video had over 37,000 views. It also garnered honors as the 36th most-watched video in the U.K. and the 37th most-viewed video in New Zealand, under the Sports category.
“The video was made to prove a point,” says VentureNet president Jon Klaus. “No matter what happens, keepgoing.biz will provide your firm with fully protected data that can be restored within minutes in the event of a data loss.” Mr. Klaus, seen in the video firing a 12-gauge shotgun and MP-5 with silencer into a live server, adds that the video was, well, a blast to make. "We had a lot of fun with the video. We wanted to do something pretty different, but we don't want the value of thes service to be lost in the process." The company will release a follow-up video that will show the technical aspects of keepgoing.biz and how it protects a firm’s data. The follow-up video is scheduled for release in early 2010 and will be available at the firm’s website, www.keepgoing.biz.
